Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a government registry?

No. We are private celebrants providing a registry-style service.

What kind of marriage service do you provide?

We provide a low-cost paperwork-only marriage service for couples who want the legal marriage done simply, without a full wedding ceremony.

How do we get started?

Click the Get Married link, fill out the booking form, and pay the fee. After that, prepare your NOIM and send it through to us.

When is our date confirmed?

The date, time, and place are confirmed only after your NOIM and supporting documents are received and we can check availability.

How far in advance should we lodge the NOIM?

Your NOIM must be received at least one calendar month before the marriage date and no more than 18 months before it.

Can the NOIM be witnessed remotely?

Yes. The NOIM can be witnessed remotely by audio-visual link if the legal rules for remote witnessing are met.

Can we get married online?

No. The marriage itself must happen in person with both of you, the celebrant, and two adult witnesses physically present.

Do we need witnesses?

Yes. You need two witnesses aged 18 or over. Ask us if you need help arranging witness support.

What documents do we usually need?

Usually you need evidence of date and place of birth, current photo ID, and proof that any previous marriage has ended. If documents are not in English, authorised translations may be required.

What if one of us is divorced?

That is fine, as long as the divorce is final before the marriage takes place and you can provide the divorce order.

Do we get the official marriage certificate on the day?

If you marry with us, you receive a ceremonial certificate on the day. The official Queensland marriage certificate is ordered separately after the marriage is registered.

What if we actually want a wedding ceremony or an elopement?

If you want a full ceremony, book a celebrant like Josh Withers. If you want an elopement service, book The Elopement Collective.
