These terms explain the basics of using this website and booking our service.
Who we are
The Townsville Marriage Office is a private celebrant service operated by Withers XYZ Pty Ltd as trustee for the Snow Withers Trust.
We are not a government registry.
What this site is for
This site explains and promotes our paperwork-only marriage service and related information pages.
Booking the service
The normal booking process is:
- you click Get Married
- you complete the booking form
- you pay the fee
- you prepare and send your paperwork
- we confirm the date, time, and place once the paperwork is received and availability is checked
Important legal point
Paying for a booking does not remove the legal requirements for marriage.
You still need to meet the law, provide true information, and supply the documents required for your situation.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for:
- giving accurate information
- providing genuine documents
- making sure the NOIM is witnessed properly
- arranging two adult witnesses unless we agree to help with that
Our responsibility
We are responsible for providing the celebrant service we agreed to, subject to the law, the paperwork being in order, and practical availability.
Changes, cancellations, and refunds
Any booking-specific payment, cancellation, or refund terms are provided as part of the booking process.
